This unit works, but needs new batteries, which can be bought using Amazon Prime free shipping for $44 for a pair, or $40 per pair in a discounted 6-pack (each UPS takes 2 batteries, I strongly recommend getting the 9aH SLA replacements, not the cheaper 7aH F2 replacements).
New units like this cost at least $170.00, you can have one that will last just as long for about half that price.CyberPower UPS systems condition power and backup for whatever you plug into 4 'battery plus surge' outlets, and has surge protection on an additional 4 outlets. This units are rated for 810 watts. If you have sketchy or uneven power, or lose power, these units can save your electronics.
Unlike some other UPS systems I have tried, CyberPower UPSs actually work when the power goes out, they give you time to shut down your computer or other electronics safely and they guard against power surges when the power comes back on. The battery backups are useful to maintain Wifi and other important systems, like sump pumps, during power outages, and to keep your cell phones charged.
