1. COUNTRY of ORIGIN : Prussia CONTEXT : this is a RARE Medal awarded to Bavarian officers and soldiers who fought alongside Napoleon troops in 1813 to 1814. The Military Memorial for 1813, 1814 and 1815 (German: Militärdenkzeichen für 1813-1815 ) was on 4 December 1814 by the Bavarian King Maximilian I.
An interesting fact about the Bavarian Army during the Napoleonic Wars is that they fought loyally within Napoleon’s Grand Army until shortly before the 1813 Battle of Leipzig (also called the Battle of Nations).
On the cross, a Cross Manua with rounded arms, and which medallion placed within a laurel wreath on the front monogram of the Bavarian king. On the reverse side is a medallion with the Bavarian lion. On the front of the poor state "FÜR DIE JAHRE 1813 UND 1814".On the arms of the downside is "KONIG UND CONDITION : Very Good – some slight wear, with a little fading of the DIMENSIONS : 33 mm x 33 mm + loop and WIDTH : 3 mm
