Using ADTPro to transfer downloaded files from your Windows, Mac or Linux PC to your vintage Apple II computer is fineIFyour PC has a serial port. But today's newer systems typically don't have a DB-9 or DB-25 serial port connector, only USB connectors.

This FTDi-based serial-to-USB adapter kit is ideal for interfacing your Apple IIc, IIc Plus and IIGS computers to today's USB ports on your PC or Mac! The adapter is powered through the USB connector so no external power supply is necessary. Transferring at USB 2.0 Full Speed (12 MB/s), this kit works with Windows, Macintosh OS and Linux operating systems.

This combo kit contains a DIN to DB9 null modem cable for the IIc, miniDIN serial cable with removeable Slimline null modem adapter needed for the IIc Plus and IIGS, a serial DB-9 to USB converter based upon the FTDi chipset, a USB extension cable, and software CD. The CD contains drivers for Windows, Macintosh and Linux OS, simple directions for connecting the adapter to your Apple IIc, IIc Plus & IIGS to your PC, & a technical reference manual for the FTDi chip itself.
