For sale is a scarce complete original set of PDP-8/M Computer Engineering Drawings from Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), dated May 1973, Revision H (Part B-DD-PDP8M-0).
This large-format set covers the PDP-8/M minicomputer (OEM variant of the PDP-8/E) with detailed logic diagrams, schematics, board layouts, timing, power supply, Omnibus, and related prints.
Key Features:
Matches the official May 1973 Bitsavers set (101 pages in PDF form).
Revision history includes PDP8M-13 to PDP8M-18, with engineer stamps/dates up to Blodgett 5-16-73 and Rev. H.
~53 physical sheets, mostly double-sided, for approximately 103–105 printed sides. Blank first page (both sides) and blank back on the last page, as originally issued.
Classic orange-tinted "pdp8e pdp8 & pdp8m" cover with the "digital" logo.
Condition: Very Good overall for a 53-year-old technical set. The last 10 Sheets show light wrinkles, minor creases along edges/fold lines, a few small stains or faint marks from normal handling/storage (pictured) and a few minor handwritten notations. No major tears, water damage, or heavy soiling. All diagrams remain clear, sharp, and fully legible — excellent for restoration or reference use. Far better than most surviving examples.
Original physical DEC engineering drawings like this are much harder to find than the free PDF scans on Bitsavers. Ideal for PDP-8 hardware restorers, collectors, or as a display piece of 1970s computing history.
