This is a brand new USB cable with back plate connector made specifically for the Apple IIGS. Created & sourced by The Apple2OnlineStore, this cable connects to your USB card (such as the CFFA3K, not included) and terminates at the IIGS back panel with a female USB connector, allowing you to easily connect/disconnect USB devices, such as thumb drives, without the need to open the IIGS case and route cables. This listing includes a Kodak data hub, which connects to the back plate connector & provides you an easy way to use USB thumbdrives, SD and microSD cards, etc. [We also sell this cable without the data hub - see listing #336756699547.]
Please Note: Volumes need to adhere to the limitations of ProDOS (32 MB max) and GSOS (2 GB max).
The back plate connector is 3D-printed in a color that coordinates well with the Apple IIGS case.
The cable measures 11" /280mm from connector to connector (not including the connectors themselves). Please make sure that this cable will fit your USB card before purchasing. This cable length is long enough for the CFFA3K unit; please make sure the cable is long enough for any other card(s) you may want to use it with.
Requires a Philips head screwdriver (not included) for installation.
