I have here a Rare 4" Intersil Silicon Wafer Dated 1984.
According to information I have read, Intersil was purchased by General Electric in 1980, before GE's entire Semiconductor division was purchased in 1988 by Harris Semiconductor.
I had sold another GE Wafer that was also an American Microsystems Wafer, with both Logos in different spots(After realizing it was also a GE Wafer I had to look for that Logo), but I only found the Intersil Logo on this, and that was extremely difficult to find in itself to which I almost did not find any logo when checking. I'm not sure if I would find a GE Logo if I checked, but I could check again to see and verify. I don't see how it wouldn't be from GE if it they owned Intersil at that additional Information:
Intersil is an American semiconductor company headquartered in Milpitas, California.
The original Intersil, Inc. was founded in 1967 by the Swiss physicist Jean Hoerni to develop digital watch Integrated Circuits (ICs). The European subsidiary Eurosil was originally partially funded by SSIH, a Swiss watch company. Later-on, Intersil had a development contract with the Japanese company Daini Seikosha and became supplier of low-voltage CMOS watch ICs for Seiko. When microprocessors emerged to the market in the 1970s, Intersil participated with its 12-bit IM6100, which was the first microprocessor produced in CMOS technology and emulated the PDP-8 instruction set.
In 1988, Intersil was taken over by Harris Semiconductor, which had offered the IM6100 as second source. Harris combined these activities with the semiconductor divisions of Radiation Incorporated, General Electric and RCA they had taken over before. In 1999 Harris spun off its entire semiconductor division and Intersil Corporation was created with the largest IPO in American semiconductor industry history. The second Intersil Corporation is a different company from the original Intersil, Inc.
Next to digital circuits like microprocessors and memories like the 1k-bit CMOS RAM IM6508 and CMOS EPROMS IM6604/IM6654 Intersil designed famous analogue ICs like the ICL8038 waveform generator. A creation of Intersil (as Harris Semiconductor) is the PRISM line of Wi-Fi hardware: that group of products was sold to GlobespanVirata in 2003, and maintained by Conexant. Intersil is the manufacturer of the RCA (CDP)1802 microprocessor (also known as RCA COSMAC), a CPU traditionally used in space applications.
In the 2000s, Intersil established market leadership in Vcore power management for PCs, switching and buck boost regulators for industrial and consumer power systems, and radiation hardened analog and power ICs for military and commercial is your chance to get a rare piece of history!

If you have any questions, or would like additional picutres, please do not hesitate to ask.
I will be listing many unique, rare, one-of-a-kind, vintage CPU, Computer Chips, Silicon Wafers, and other parts in the following weeks, so if there is any interest or inquiry into something I might have, please don't hesitate to ask!
Thank you for your time with viewing my listing, I appreciate it. I hope you have a great day!NOTE:THE PICTURES ARE OF THE ORIGINAL LISTING FOR THIS WAFER. I HAVE AT LEAST 3 DUPLICATES OF THIS WAFER, SO I AM KEPT THE ORIGINAL LISTING PHOTOS. I WILL SEND PHOTOS OF THE WAFER CHOSEN FROM THE GROUP OF DUPLICATES, IF YOU WOULD LIKE. I TRY TO PICK OUT THE BEST LOOKING ONE OUT WHEN PACKING UP, BUT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. THANK YOU!
NOTE2: Handling time is set to 10 days because I normally end up having buyers who want more than 1 item, so a few days can go by before the full transaction is completed; however, the handling time set for each item has to be obeyed or else penalties happen to me, so I set the handling time to a time that shouldn't cause problems. I have been recently notified(10/24/22) that some buyers are concerned about the long handling times so I want to make everyone completely aware of the situation.
After THE FULL Transaction is complete(the buyer is done choosing listings to purchase, and ready for shipment), I normally try to ship the day of completion or the next day(depending if transaction completion happens early enough in the day and on a weekday), but 2-3 regular days(not business days) would be the maximum handling time. I do not want buyers to have to wait for their product after purchase, I just want to make sure buyers have selected everything they want to purchase, before I ship, as most of my buyers thus far have wanted more than 1 item, while at the same time make sure I do not get penalized, because even if a buyer is okay with waiting, I have to obey the times set by the site. Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for your time with viewing my listing, I really appreciate it. If you have any questions at all about this issue, or anything else I can answer for you / help-you-with, please do nothesitateto ask. I am here to make the Buyer's experience completely satisfactory, so let me know if there is anything I can do for you! I hope you have a fantastic day!
