Listing is for 1x Alienware 17 R4 gaming laptop with Intel i7-6820HK CPU, Nvidia GTX 1070 GPU, 16GB RAM, 1080p screen, 1TB HDD. The original 128GB NVMe SSD is included in this laptop but the SSD is NOT WORKING -- it is damaged or corrupted and cannot be accessed by Windows. Windows 11 was reinstalled on the 1TB HDD and basic video/chipset/touchpad drivers were downloaded from the corresponding Dell website. On startup, Windows displays the "scannning and repairing" dialog when it detects the SSD, and then it boots normally from the HDD.
Only Windows 10 drivers are available on the Dell driver support website, and are not officially verified for Windows 11, however the drivers were successfully installed for Windows 11 on this laptop.Touchpad and keyboard are WORKING.
The battery health is UNKNOWN because the battery is not detected by Windows or Dell Power Manager. However, when the laptop is unplugged, it stays on, so the battery is able to hold some charge. Any further testing on the battery has not been done and its health is UNKNOWN. It is possible that the battery might need a replacement.
The included charger can supply 180W and can keep the laptop powered for regular use, but the laptop has a maximum power consumption of 240W, so under very heavy load the included charger may not be adequate.
Any further testing besides the laptop's ability to boot into Windows, connect to the internet over Wi-Fi, install video/chipset/touchpaddrivers, play audio on the speakers, and determine if the CPU/GPU/RAM/storage are detected has NOT been done. Selling as-is, see photos for details.
The laptop has some stickers and minor smudges/scuffs/marks on the case, but no major damage is present.
