WHY I'M SELLINGI bought this for myself (it's the only one I ordered) to run large AI models privately at home, for a personal-assistant project that works with a lot of my own data. After testing it on that workload, the project has gone in a different direction, so the machine is surplus. It handled everything I ran on it; I just don't need it for this anymore.
CONDITION- Ordered directly from Apple on Aug 25, 2026; delivered Sep 26, 2026.- Used for under two weeks of testing. No marks, scratches or dents. Photos show this exact unit.- Apple's limited warranty runs to Sep 21, 2027 and stays with the machine (screenshot included).- No AppleCare added. As of Sep 28, Apple shows 55 days left to add accidental-damage coverage (until about Nov 22).- Serial number recorded before shipping.- Erased and reset to factory settings before shipping, with Activation Lock removed.- Includes the original box, power cord and everything originally in the box.
WHAT IT DID IN MY TESTING (measured on this machine)- Runs GLM-5.3-Flash, a roughly 180 GB 4-bit model, fully in memory: about 37 tokens/sec writing, and still about 36 tokens/sec at a 128K-token context.- Prompt reading on that model: about 740 tokens/sec at 4K context and about 300 at 64K, from a cold start with no cache.- Qwen3.8-Flash-Next (99 GB): about 1,500 tokens/sec reading on real 65K to 95K-token jobs.- Peak memory was about 200 GB with a 128K context. The 256GB is what makes models this size practical.- Ran day-and-night AI jobs with no hardware issues.- Tested with oMLX (Apple MLX) on macOS 27.0.
