🚀 SPECIALIZED macOS CONFIGURATION — PLEASE READ

This particular MacBook has been customized to run a much newer version of macOS than Apple originally supported on this model.

It currently comes preinstalled with macOS Sequoia using OpenCore Legacy Patcher (OCLP).

The Mid-2012 MacBook Pro 13-inch is officially supported by Apple through macOS Catalina. OpenCore Legacy Patcher allows compatible older Macs such as this MacBookPro9,2 to run newer macOS releases.

What is OpenCore Legacy Patcher?

OpenCore Legacy Patcher is a community-developed tool that allows certain older Intel Macs to run newer versions of macOS that Apple no longer officially supports on that hardware.

This MacBook has been configured and tested with OCLP and macOS Sequoia.

Because this is a modified configuration, it is important that prospective buyers understand that this is not an Apple-supported macOS installation.

If you're comfortable with OCLP and want a newer macOS experience on an older Mac, the machine is ready to go.

Not Comfortable With OCLP? No Problem!

I am happy to install the operating system of your choice before shipping.

After purchase, simply send me a message and let me know what you'd prefer.

I can prepare the machine with:

  • macOS Sequoia + OCLP

  • The last officially supported macOS — Catalina

  • Another compatible macOS version

  • Windows 10

  • Windows 11

  • A supported Linux distribution

  • Or another operating system you'd like to discuss

You choose the operating system — I'll prepare the computer for you.

If you're not familiar with OpenCore Legacy Patcher or simply prefer a standard configuration, just message me after purchase. I'm happy to help.

Please Note

This is a 2012 computer and should be purchased with realistic expectations regarding its age and hardware capabilities.

Newer operating systems may have hardware limitations or require additional patches, and future software updates can sometimes require additional OCLP maintenance. OCLP's own documentation notes that newer macOS versions can require root patches and that updates may require those patches to be reapplied.
