Here's an all-original Macintosh SE, Apple's first compact Mac with room for an internal hard drive. It powers on and gets partway through its startup routine, but doesn't quite make it to the finish line — see Condition below for the full story. A great honest-condition find for a restoration or parts project.

Model M5011 — 1MB RAM, 800K internal floppy drive, 20SC internal SCSI hard disk. Compact all-in-one 9" CRT design, the same body style used through the SE/30 and Classic. Comes with the original power cord.

💰 Value

This exact configuration (1MB RAM, hard drive model) retailed for $3,900 new in 1987. Compact Macs like this are getting harder to find in honest, unmolested condition — most on the market today have already been recapped or modded.

🍎 Great For

Vintage Mac collectors, retrocomputing hobbyists, and anyone comfortable with hard drive replacement (SCSI2SD, BlueSCSI, floppy emulators) looking for a clean donor or restoration candidate.

⚠️ Condition

Powers on and POSTs (chime, cursor visible), but does not complete startup — stops at the "insert startup disk" icon, consistent with a failed or corrupted 20SC hard disk. Floppy drive untested. Case is not currently secured with screws (missing/not included) — see photos for exact condition. Normal cosmetic wear for its age: light scuffing, expected case yellowing, screen clear with no cracks. Sold strictly as-is / for parts or repair.
