Selling my upgraded Dell OptiPlex 5090 Small Form Factor, which I configured and used as a compact gaming, HTPC, and retro-gaming PC.
I primarily used this connected to my TV as a couch gaming setup. It's basically my inexpensive take on a Steam Machine — small enough to fit comfortably with home-theater equipment while still having a dedicated GPU and enough performance for light PC gaming, older games, and emulation.
I've made quite a few upgrades to the original OptiPlex, including an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Low Profile GPU, 1TB SSD, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E/Bluetooth, and an upgraded dual 2.5" drive caddy.

The upgraded dual-drive bracket allows the system to accommodate two 2.5" SATA SSDs/HDDs, giving you an easy path for additional internal storage later. The PNY 1TB SSD is included; additional drives are not included.
Gaming / Living-Room Use
The RTX 3050 makes this considerably more capable than a stock office OptiPlex. I used it primarily for light PC gaming, Steam games, retro gaming, and HTPC/media use from the couch.
It's also a great platform if you want to build your own console-style retro-gaming machine. Software such as Steam, EmuDeck, ES-DE, RetroArch, and Playnite is freely available and can be installed and configured by the buyer however they prefer.
Pair it with a compatible wireless controller and it makes a nice compact living-room gaming PC without needing a large gaming tower next to the TV.
10GbE + Wi-Fi 6E Networking
One of the more unusual upgrades I've made to this system is a Mellanox ConnectX-3 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter.
I'm also including the 10GBASE-T SFP+ to RJ45 transceiver, so the 10GbE card can be connected to compatible RJ45 copper Ethernet equipment without the buyer having to purchase the transceiver separately.
I personally tested the 10GbE connection at approximately 9.4 Gbps, making this particularly useful if you have a NAS, home server, or other 10GbE equipment and want very fast access to games, media, or other files stored on your network.
I also installed an Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth adapter with a tri-band internal antenna. Wi-Fi is available when running Ethernet isn't practical, while Bluetooth is particularly useful for compatible wireless controllers and other accessories.
For gaming, streaming, or accessing files from network storage, I recommend using the wired Ethernet connection whenever possible for the most stable and consistent connection.
IMPORTANT — CLEAN INSTALL / NO GAMES INCLUDED
THE COMPUTER WILL BE COMPLETELY RESET BEFORE SHIPPING.
By default, it will ship with a clean installation of Windows 11 Pro. All of my personal files, games, applications, emulator configurations, accounts, and other data will be removed.
NO GAMES, ROMS, BIOS FILES, EMULATORS, OR OTHER COPYRIGHTED CONTENT ARE INCLUDED.
The buyer will receive a clean system and can install and configure their own software and legally obtained games.
Windows 11 Pro or Linux — Buyer's Choice
By default, the computer will ship with a clean installation of Windows 11 Pro.
If you would prefer Bazzite, Ubuntu, Fedora, or another Linux distribution instead of Windows, please send me a message after purchasing and BEFORE I SHIP THE COMPUTER.
If I don't receive a request for Linux, Windows 11 Pro will be installed by default.
Bazzite is particularly well suited to this type of build if you're looking to create your own SteamOS-style couch gaming machine.
Regardless of which operating system you choose, this is a clean OS installation only. Games, ROMs, BIOS files, emulators, and my personal gaming/emulation setup are not included.
Condition
Everything is in good working condition. This is a used Dell business PC that I upgraded and personally used, so the case may have normal scratches, scuffs, or other cosmetic signs of previous use.
This isn't being sold as a high-end gaming rig. It's a compact and surprisingly capable gaming/HTPC machine that I've already put the time into upgrading and testing.
It makes a particularly nice starting point for someone wanting a living-room gaming PC, inexpensive Steam Machine-style setup, HTPC, retro-gaming build, or compact PC with 10GbE connectivity.
