Dell PowerEdge R510 2U rack server with four 3.5-inch front drive bays. Includes two Dell drive caddies; two additional caddies and all hard drives are not included.
Configuration: 2x Intel Xeon E5506 2.13GHz quad-core processors, 8GB ECC DDR3 memory, Dell SAS 6/iR RAID/storage controller based on LSI SAS1068E, integrated dual Gigabit Ethernet, BMC/IPMI management, and DVD-ROM drive. No dedicated iDRAC6 Enterprise module is installed.
The server powers on successfully and completes POST. BIOS detects both processors and the full 8GB of memory. The SAS 6/iR configuration utility and BMC configuration utility were entered successfully and both controllers respond normally. BIOS version 1.1.4, SAS firmware 0.25.47.00-IR and BMC firmware 1.32.01 were observed during testing.
No hard drives or operating system are included, so the system does not boot into an OS. Individual drive bays, Ethernet ports, USB ports, serial port, optical-drive operation, remote IPMI access and extended load/stress operation were not independently tested. Cosmetic wear from normal prior use is present. Only the server and specifically described hardware are included.
