The CSL-001 was developed after thermal testing identified the importance of rear chassis airflow in higher-performance HP Z2 G5 SFF configurations. Rather than simply creating a 3D-printed fan bracket, CleanSpec Lab developed the CSL-001 through an iterative process of design, prototyping, physical fitment testing, and sustained system stress testing using real HP Z2 G5 SFF workstation hardware.

CSL-001 V2 uses a reduced-depth mounting assembly specifically developed to provide clearance for the factory 80W CPU cooler configuration.

Each kit is fully assembled and ready for installation with a high-quality Delta 60mm 4-pin PWM fan pre-installed.

CSL-001 V2 will physically fit systems equipped with the 65W and 125W CPU coolers; however, CleanSpec Lab has not validated V2 as the cooling solution for those configurations.

CSL-001 was developed as a workstation cooling solution, not simply as a mounting adapter.

Development included iterative CAD design and prototyping, installation and clearance verification on actual HP Z2 G5 SFF workstations, evaluation of multiple factory CPU cooling configurations, and sustained system stress testing using OCCT.

Production configurations were evaluated under sustained workstation loads to verify physical fitment, fan operation, system stability, and thermal behavior.

The current RevC design incorporates refinements made through continued production, testing, and real-world use.

Installation

CSL-001 uses the factory rear chassis mounting location and requires no cutting, drilling, or permanent modification to the workstation chassis.

Install the assembled CSL-001 into the rear chassis location and connect the included Delta PWM fan to the appropriate motherboard chassis fan connection.

The kit can be removed later without permanently altering the workstation.
