This is an internal SATA/SAS Hard Drive Cage Enclosure (Hot-Swap Backplane Caddy), designed to convert 5.25-inch optical drive bays in a computer case or server chassis into hot-swappable hard drive slots.

Key Features & Design

Drive Trays & Capacity: It features two tool-less or tray-based drive bays designed to house 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA/SAS Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) or Solid State Drives (SSDs). The metal lever handles on the front allow for easy latching, releasing, and hot-swapping drives without shutting down the system.

Integrated Cabling: Attached directly to the rear backplane PCB are standard SATA data cables (for connecting directly to the motherboard or RAID controller) and a SATA power harness (15-pin connector) to distribute power to the backplane.

Venting & Mounting: The side and rear ventilation holes permit airflow across the drives inside the enclosure. Side mounting holes align with standard 5.25-inch chassis drive bays.

Locking Mechanism: The top thumbscrew and side tension bars help secure the cage tightly inside the computer chassis frame to minimize vibration.
