- Motherboard Requirements: For optimal functionality, your SATA motherboard must either support SAS technology or your SAS hard disk must be SATA compatible.
Installation Methods:
- Method 1: Disconnect the data and power supply from the SATA hard disk interface. Connect directly to the motherboard SATA interface and power cable. Please ensure the motherboard is set to AHCI mode in BIOS (optionally set to RAID mode for RAID configurations).
- Method 2: Separate the data and power supply of the SAS hard disk interface. Connect it to the motherboard SAS interface using SFF-8482 and the necessary power cord.
