The Innovative Technology Film & Slide Converter (Model ITNS-300) is a vintage, desktop-oriented imaging device designed to digitize analog 35mm film negatives and physical photo slides.
Distributed originally around 2011 via major retailers like Kohl's this bus-powered hardware provides a fast and streamlined way to archive older photo collections onto a computer.
Core Technical Specifications & Functionality Sensor Type: Rather than a traditional slow flatbed scanner engine, it uses a rapid 5.0 Megapixel CMOS image sensor. It operates essentially like a specialized digital camera, taking a rapid snapshot of the backlit film frame.
Optical Element: Features a high-quality fixed-focus 4-glass optical element lens.
Automatic Image Calibration: The device automatically handles optimal adjustments for focus, exposure settings, and color balance.
Connectivity: Driven entirely via a standard USB 2.0 connection. It transfers data and draws operational power directly from your computer, requiring no external wall power adapter.
Media Support: Bundled with two distinct, hard-plastic alignment traysone explicitly for 35mm negative film strips and another built to feed standard 35mm mounted cardboard/plastic slides.
Operating System & Driver Constraints Native Platforms: Built explicitly for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 platforms (both 32-bit and 64-bit systems).
Modern Compatibility: The original manufacturer's software and bundled driver CD do not natively support current operating systems like Windows 10, Windows 11, or Apple macOS. Running the device today typically requires configuring manual driver overrides in Windows Compatibility Mode, virtualizing an XP environment, or utilizing universal paid scanning software like VueScan.
CRITICAL COMPATIBILITY NOTE (PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING )
This is a vintage, legacy tech hardware item originally manufactured in 2011. NOT APPLE MAC COMPATIBLE: The device explicitly does NOT support macOS systems. It is built strictly for PC use.
MODERN WINDOWS WARNING (Windows 10 & 11): The enclosed software disc was designed natively for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. The manufacturer no longer pushes software updates or official drivers for modern systems.
HOW TO USE TODAY: To run this scanner on Windows 10 or 11, you must be comfortable installing community-archived utilities, running the app launcher via Windows Compatibility Mode, or utilizing a VirtualMachine.
Alternatively, paid third-party scanning suites like VueScan can be used as a modern driver override.
Please verify you understand how to navigate legacy device drivers before purchasing.
Returns will not be accepted for operating system incompatibility.
