It boots and runs just fine, but the cumulative damage is tough to overcome. The display panel itself works fine, but the hinge screws have torn out of the lid. The scissor mechanism of the G key is broken on one side, though it is still captive and works normally, it just lifts up on one side. The touchpad is fairly worn as well, and the locking latch for the optical drive is missing. That's a lot of physical repairs. Electronically everything seems fine so it could be the basis for a lab project, or use it to restore your Thinkpad! Just need specific parts? Get in touch and I may be willing to part this unit out.Unused RAM Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides free refurbished computers to those who need them. The sale of this item helps fund that work!
