This replaces your existing chip on your Canon MC-G02 waste ink tank when it reaches a point of saying it is full or near full. Receive 1 only in the sale. Of course it isn't REALLY full and we know people that are reporting that it can still hold a lot more ink so you might be able to get away with up to 2-3 more full cycles before you finally may want to replace the entire cartridge OR the internal sponges. Both of which we can help you with the MC-G02 items in my store. If your Canon printer uses an MC-G02 waste tank, this will easily replace the chip on your cartridge now. Put it back in your printer, it will show as NEW and you will have a whole new cycle to use it. This works on the G620G1220 G2260 G3260 G2160 G3160 and also on the list below or in case I missed one, YOUR printer if it usesan MC-G02 waste tank. Let's keep these things out of the landfills ! Replace chips or sponges. We also have resetters too in our store. Canon makes it easy to do. Turn OFF your printer. On the back of your printer, remove the maintenance cart screw and the plastic panel. Pull out your maintenance cart out from the back of the computer, there is a screw holding the chip onto the chip holder area. Remove the screw, get a small flat blade screwdriver to pop the old chip out and slide the new chip in. Put the screw back on. Pop the maintenance cart back in your printer. Power on your printer. Now the maintenance cart counter will show completely EMTPY !! You get a whole new cycle of ink to put into your cart. If you buy a RESETTER, you can reset the chip over and over. Ink tank getting full ? I have internal sponge PADS to replace your old ones. Toss the old one's out, put in the new set. It's easy ! Any questions just ask.
We also carry the MC-G02 compatible cartridges AND internal sponge sets. Just in ! MC-G02 chip resetters. Check out all the Canon MC-G02 items in my store.
These are all brand NEW.
Returns will be accepted but you will not be fully "refunded" if the chip is showing used (or spent).

MaintenanceTank materials sold in my store.Explanation of each item and why you would choose one over another.

Thecomponents you will find that I sell for Epson/Canon photo printers are forthese models of maintenance tanks

Epson C9345 – Epson T3661 – Canon MCG02. These maintenance carts work for variousprinters. See the list of printerssupported in each sale.

Yourmaintenance tank starts to fill up with ink that is sent there for cleanings ordeep cleanings or just because you haven’t printed in a while and your printerdecided to do an ink purge cycle to keep its nozzles clear of dried ink. Purge cycles are a GOOD THING. I sell:

  • 2.Chipsthat go onto the Maintenance Tank
  • 3.Resetterto “reset” the chips on the Maintenance Tank
  • 4.Insidesponge material that soaks up and holds the ink (think diapers)
  • For mostprinters, once your maintenance tank fills up with ink, it will eventually notallow you to print anymore until you replace it. That’s what Epson/Canon wants you tobelieve. In reality, TESTS have shownthat at this point, there is still plenty of space left in the tank to continueto run ink through it for sometimes 2 to 5 complete additional CYCLES of ink. You have options which I will spell out.

    1. Maintenance Tank. – You can just buy a NEW compatiblemaintenance tank. Remove the old, put inthe NEW (which has a NEW chip) which will show the tank as EMPTY, throw awaythe old tank. You’re done. Except you have added to the landfill a bigheavy plastic box that will take 100 years to disintegrate. Believe me, that’s the easiest thing todo. And in most cases my compatiblemaintenance tanks are cheaper and quicker than buying one from Epson/Canon. But other alternatives are also available.

    2. CHIPS. Your printer writes data to the CHIP on themaintenance tank ESTIMATING how much space you have left. If you buy a NEW chip and replace the oldone, your printer will be fooled into thinking your tank is now EMPTY and willallow you to run another cycle of ink into it.This is a little tedious to get the chip in exactly the right spot andmay benefit from a little glue to get it into exactly the right spot. But the cost for a chip is lower than any ofthe other options and will get you by if you don’t want to invest in aResetter. In this case you can just buya new CHIP every time the printer tells you the chip (tank) is full.

    3. Resetter. This is a device which will allow you toRESET the data on the chip to fool your printer into thinking your tank isempty and will allow you to continue to print.Chips can be “reset” over and over and you will NEVER need to throw awayyour bulky plastic tank. But resettersare an expensive item as far as things in this list go. They are intended for the most hardcore printenthusiasts who print A LOT. Resettersuse batteries or USB power to “glitch” the chip and RESET it back to an “empty”condition. They are meant to be usedBEFORE the tank reaches 15% of space remaining in the tank. If you purchase a resetter, remember this.

    4. Sponge Material. This soaks up the ink in the tank and keepsthe tank from leaking the ink stored in the tank. At some point, after many cycles of inkentering the tank, it will get full. Youdon’t want to have ink leaking out inside your printer, so this is asolution. Tanks can be opened easily andthe old pads removed and either replaced or rinsed out and dried. My sponge material is made to fit perfectlyinto the tanks. Remove old pads, throwaway, rinse the tank in the sink, dry the tank, install new pads. Keep in mind that replacing the sponge padsDOES NOT affect the ink level being shown by the chip. If the chip is showing the tank is full, youwill still need to either replace the chip or reset it. The sponge material is simply an item thatwill allow you to continue to use the tank and eliminate the need to “throw itaway”. Think GREEN.

Theseoptions will extend your printing capabilities for all of the Canon/Epsonmodels used by these Maintenance Tanks.Choose what fits your needs and budget. We will be here for you to get them going and answer your questions.
