All are in fixed configurations, most are stackable, and run with Cisco’s IOS software for simple device management. These are fully managed switches that provide L2 and L3 features with some models include PoE and PoE+ options. When calculating PoE requirements, make sure to reference the maximum PoE power budget of the chassis, how many devices are being powered, and how much wattage is required per device. Most 2960XR line of switches have 2 removable power supplies for redundancy and a second power supply either enables PoE or increases the maximum PoE power budget for the switch.
