Sound Measurement Conditions: Measure the sound level when typing at a fixed interval for one minute 70cm away from the keyboard. The keyboard is placed on a desk and a microphone is placed near the human ear. Compared to comparable keyboards the noise level of this keyboard is approximately 25 decibels (-6 decibels) compared to the conventional keyboard's noise level of approximately 31 decibels. This figure is converted to acoustic power and displayed. <Quietness Duration> This product's quietness is enhanced by injecting a special grease into the pantograph mechanism. Therefore the quietness effect may weaken with extended use but this is not a defect in the product. <Notes> *Special functions pre-assigned to the function keys on laptops and original keyboards such as adjusting screen brightness and volume up/down cannot be controlled from this keyboard. *Commands before Windows starts such as BIOS settings and SCSI board settings may not be available.
