The Sony UWA-BR100 is a discontinued USB wireless LAN adapter designed to enable Wi-Fi connectivity on specific 2010–2012 Sony BRAVIA HDTVs and Blu-ray Disc players. It plugs into a USB port to provide internet access, often using WPS for easy setup. As it is discontinued, third-party alternatives or wired Ethernet are recommended.

DETAILS:

Purpose: Allows older "Wi-Fi ready" Sony devices to connect to home wireless networks.

Compatibility: Works with specific 2010-2012 Sony models, including many KDL-EX, HX, and NX series televisions, as well as BDP-BX/S series players.

Alternatives: If not available, wired ethernet is a direct alternative, or a generic Wi-Fi-to-Ethernet bridge can be used.

Status: Discontinued by Sony.

PERFORMANCE & SETUP:

Setup: Uses Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) for quick pairing with routers.

Performance: Some users have reported weak signal range and potential connectivity issues over time.
