In near mint condition, this paper tape punch was mainly used to manually program carriage control tapes for large scale IBM mainframe printers. The holes in the tape would direct the printer to skip lines and eject pages; therefore, each style of printout (checks, forms, documents) would use a specific carriage control tape. A nice desktop conversation piece and memorial from the mainframe computer era. Item size: 8½" x 6¾" x 2".
