Western Digital 8TB (White Label WD Red) - NAS - Internal Hard Drive - WD80EMAZ
Price: US $160.00
Item DescriptionThis drive is built on the exact same CMR, helium-sealed enterprise hardware platform as the retail 8TB WD Red (WD80EFAX), delivering identical performance and reliability for NAS, RAID, and home server setups.

Tested 100% working with clean SMART status:

  • 0 Reallocated Sectors

  • 0 Current Pending Sectors

  • 0 Uncorrectable Sectors

  • 100% Helium Level (Attribute 16 reads raw value 64 / 100% intact)

Drive History & Usage:

  • Pulled directly from a private, climate-controlled home Plex server.

  • Reason for selling: Upgraded array to 20TB drives.

  • Originally "shucked" from official Western Digital external desktop enclosures.

Important Compatibility Notice (Pin 3 Mod):

  • As WD80EMAZ models, these drives originally featured the SATA 3.3V Power Disable (PWDIS) feature.

  • The 3rd pin on the SATA power connector has been cleanly and intentionally removed.

  • This makes the drive 100% plug-and-play in standard desktop PCs, NAS units (Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Unraid), DAS enclosures, and standard SATA power cables without needing Kapton tape or Molex adapters.

  • Note: The missing 3rd pin on the SATA power connector is intentional and is NOT shipping damage.
