Here we have a Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600JB for sale. A fairly typical late PATA drive packing a decent amount of space, though it was just enough to require 48-bit addressing support in the OS. A once-over with MHDD reveals no bad sectors and speedy throughput for a PATA drive. Thankfully, this is one of the WD drives with an FDB spindle bearing, so it doesn't have the jet-engine like whine of 7200 rpm ball bearing drives.I've wiped the drive and tested it to make sure there were no bad or slow sectors. Everything looks and sounds fine. It does run pretty warm though, which is not surprising given its technology, so make sure your case has adequate ventilation for it to breathe. (And make sure your motherboard can work with it - Windows XP should have a 48-bit LBA driver built in).Buyer pays shipping costs, which are calculated by weight to destination postal code. The cost of international shipping will be slightly less painful than stubbing a toe with an ingrown toenail. Thanks for looking!
