CompuPro System 8/16 S-100 w/11 Boards, External 32Mb Hard Drive, TeleVideo 955 Display and Keyboard
TESTED CLEANED WORKING
The CompuPro System 8/16 (released in March 1983) was one of the most powerful and flexible high-end microcomputers of the early 1980s. Produced by Godbout Electronics (which later rebranded as Viasyn), it was built around the industry-standard S-100 bus (IEEE 696) and priced as a premium professional multi-user business machine.
The microcomputer was taken apart and thoroughly cleaned. The backplane or BUS board was cleaned, each one of the 11 boards were cleaned. The CAPS were inspected (not recapped) and cleaned. The Fan was cleaned. The CompuPro computer case, TeleVideo Terminal and keyboard were cleaned. The external hard drive was opened and the inside was cleaned of any dirt or debris and the outside case was wiped down and cleaned.
Although I am not an expert on these systems, everything appears to be functioning correctly. The external hard drive displays content on the TeleVideo terminal display. I have not verified that all 11 boards are working individually; however, the person I purchased it from stated that everything is functional.

The external Hard Drive is equipped with aQuantum Q540 Full-Height Internal Hard Drive. I believe, as there are no markings, that the Drive is housed in a external expansion enclosure possibly DEC RD52.Key Specifications Quantum Q540 Hard Drive

A lot of work went into to cleaning and testing this system. Although I am saying it is functional, older systems can sometimes show its age and stop working or something else goes wrong. Eventually, like all old computers, the system will need to be recapped. Therefore, I am selling this AS-IS with NO RETURNS.This is truly a beautiful setup and a remarkable piece of computer history.
The shipping might seem like a lot but I will have to ship this in three separate boxes. I don't know want to pack this in one box and have the pieces destroy each other. Also, the boxes will need to be double walled as to protect the contents.
