Amiga 500 switchless DF0/DF1 boot selector module Boot from external drive/gotek
Price: AU $26.75

*Tested and working with Amiga 500 (v1.2, v1.3, v3.1 kickstart)

The Switchless module allows the Amiga 500 to be booted from internal (DF0), or an external drive/gotek (DF1).

On powerup the default boot order is with internal DF0 and external DF1. Switching boot priority is as easy as resetting the Amiga 3 times or holding the reset keys for 4 seconds continuously! Boot order remains either until selected again by the 3 times reset or power off.

Module features:

  • Quality build with genuine components (Texas Instruments and Microchip MCU i/c\'s)
  • Narrow gold plated pin headers which wont damage your socket!
  • Quality gold contact machined pin socket for optimal connection and quality!
  • Safe method of changing the boot priority with no physical switches or case holes required!
  • Allows boot from your external gotek drive!
  • Amiga CIA (even) should be socketed making module fitment straightforward with no soldering/modifications required!

Note:

  • Default module firmware setting on powerup is internal DF0, external DF1. If you want to set external to DF0 as default on powerup then let me know on checkout and I will program the module for this.
  • When module is set to external DF0, then internal drive will be disabled. This is normal for this type of boot selector. However with programs such as X-copy, the internal drive can be activated for disk copy purposes by selecting \"drives on\"

* Module only for sale. CIA and Amiga, etc for display purposes only
