Do you have the Tesla Referral Solar Inverter?Did you notice that you are getting less solar production in Summer than in Spring? The days are longer for you to get more solar production, but you are getting less instead. Why is that? One reason is, the panels will produce less the hotter it gets but the biggest reason is because Tesla Referral Solar Inverters are known to halt or restart when it overheats. Every time it does this, you are losing valuable solar production. The problem is the heat soak in the radiator chamber. The radiator fan cannot push all the hot air out fast enough and stays inside soaking the radiator with heat. The simple solution to that is to keep the hot air out and moving.
This overheating issue is because Tesla Referral Solar Inverter has very low maximum operating temperature of –22°F to 113°F. That 113°Fis very low especially that in many places like in the south, triple digit weather is normal during summer. Moving the air out from the chamber quicker than normal helps a lot.
This product is a mounting kit that will help you install removable 120mm fans to suck the hot stagnant air out. This may reduce or even completely eliminate the constant restarting or halting of the inverter caused by heat soak due to stagnant or slow airflow. Results may vary. Adding fans will not magically fix other inverter problems. This kit will only guarantee you can mount a 120mm x 120mm x 25mm fan and does not guarantee it will fix other problems.
I don\'t know everything about Tesla Referral\'s policy. They may void your warranty if you are modifying their inverter even if you are making it better. The reason this kit is magnetic mounted is because you can easily remove it when they come. No drilling or gluing - no marks that there was an exhaust fan.
The kit includes:

• 2 x 120mm fan mounting adapter.
• 12 x Strong neodymium magnets
• 8 x Fan screws (for fan 25mm thick only)
• 1 x Epoxy glue (this is if you want to permanently glue the magnets)

NOTE: Fan, grill, solar panel, battery, wires etc. are not included. This fan adapter is only compatible with 120mm x 120mm x 25mm fan. You can use thicker fan, but you will have to provide your own screws.

Why is it expensive?I don\'t have a good printer and I print really slow because ASA filament is difficult to print at high speed. I also need to raise the printing temperature to melt ASA plastic and it takes me 9 hours to print one adapter. And trust me, I have discarded a lot of prints because they warp and crack if temperature fluctuates while being printed. If you have printed an ASA filament before, you know it is tricky to print something this big.
ASA material is expensive and difficult to print but why do I still choose to use ASA material instead of cheap PLA? Because ASA is durable, it has high melting point and above all, it has anti UV protection properties. That means that this is the perfect material for this application.
Suggestions:I did this myself and it works perfect. Buy a 24v rated fan and a solar panel that has a VOC of around 22v-24v. I am using a 100w solar panel with 22v VOC and it can run two 24v fans in parallel even in cloudy days. Solar panel to fan direct connect, no solar charge controllers and batteries needed. The fans will spin as long as there\'s sunlight no matter it\'s direct or not. When the sun gets bright and hot, that\'s the usual moment when the inverter overheats but that gets countered by the fans because that is also the moment the fans will spin the hardest (when the sun is at its brightest).
