If the battery cannot be recognized by the laptop, it seems like there logic in the BIOS (ACPI) that needs to be reset with the introduction of a new battery.

• 1. Disconnect the A/C power supply.
• 2. Shut down the laptop. Disconnect the battery
• 3. Connect the A/C power supply. Start the laptop.
• 4. Search and click on Device Manager under Control Panel
• 5. Click on Battery (at the top), and then right click on all entries that say Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery, and select uninstall.
• 6. Shut the computer down. Disconnect the A/C power supply.
• 7. Reconnect the battery. Insert the A/C power supply.
• 8.Start the laptop. It should be fixed.

When installing the battery for the first time, you should pay attention to the following:
