The EXT-DSC-SPX Digital Signage Creator from Gefen is designed to distribute audio and video content from a central location onto a specific display. The device is capable of rendering combinations of media elements from a set of formats. The Digital Signage Creator implements the open standards required to schedule, update, stream, and animate each supported media. As a network device, the unit features plug-and-play functionalities that simplify installation, remote maintenance and monitoring. The signage creator is controllable via an RS232 serial port interface and features an RJ-45 for Ethernet control, a VGA and HDMI for video, and a stereo phone plug for stereo audio output connection. The EXT-DSC-SPX provides 1.5GB of internal flash memory and a USB 2.0 port for expansion via USB flash drive or external HDD drives.

Horizontal and vertical displays supported, as well as direct iCal sync, local and remote publishing

Simultaneous active HDMI and VGA ports

Individual content playback can have multiple time, day, and month settings

Natively supports multiple Web-streaming formats including RSS and ASX
