Large mixed lot of over 500 vintage 3.5-inch floppy disks, sold together as one lot. All disks are untested and sold as is. You will receive all disks shown in the photos.
Includes manufacturer-labeled software disks, hardware drivers, utilities, disks with handwritten labels, and disks without handwritten identification. You will receive the assortment shown in the photos. Individual disks are not being sold separately.
The collection includes media from brands such as 3M, Imation, Sony, Maxell, TDK, Fujifilm, Verbatim, and others. Both double-density and high-density disks are present. Capacities and formats vary throughout the lot, so please do not assume that all disks have the same specifications or compatibility.
Visible software and hardware labels include Microsoft, IBM, HP, Dell, Creative Sound Blaster, Nikon, and other companies. Some labels refer to Windows, MS-DOS, OS/2, Microsoft Publisher, multimedia software, games, backup utilities, networking tools, and device drivers. These names are provided only to describe the labels visible in the photos. The actual contents of the disks have not been verified.
ALL DISKS ARE UNTESTED AND SOLD AS IS. No testing has been performed to confirm readability, formatting, recording ability, booting, installation, or software operation. Some disks may work, while others may have unreadable sectors or other faults. No guarantee is made that any particular disk will function correctly or that its contents can be recovered.
Many disks have handwritten descriptions, replacement labels, crossed-out text, or notes added over their original labels. Some may have been erased, reused, or overwritten by a previous owner. A printed manufacturer label does not guarantee that the original program is still present. Likewise, handwritten labels have not been checked for accuracy. Disks without writing are not guaranteed to be empty.
Software sets may be incomplete. Numbered disks are included as pictured, but the presence of a numbered disk does not mean that the complete installation set is included. Duplicate disks, different software versions, and individual disks from larger sets may be present. No complete or working software installation package is guaranteed.
Physical condition varies. Some disks look relatively clean, while others show noticeable signs of age, handling, and storage. Cosmetic wear includes scuffs, discoloration, staining, worn or peeling labels, handwritten markings, and adhesive residue. Please examine the photos closely for the condition of the individual disks.
Approximately 20–30 disks have residue or remnants from old rubber bands. The rubber bands deteriorated over time and became stuck to the disk surfaces or labels. These marks and attached remnants are included in the current condition. Affected disks may require cleaning or further inspection before use. Easy removal of the residue and the condition underneath it are not guaranteed.
Some disks have handwritten “bad sectors” notations, suggesting that a previous owner may have experienced problems with them. These disks remain included in the lot and have not been retested. Please consider the entire collection unverified media rather than a supply of guaranteed working disks.
The unmarked disks shown in stacks in the last photograph were removed from a box and appear clean and possibly unused. However, their appearance alone does not establish that they are new, blank, formatted, or functional. They are included under the same untested, as-is condition as the rest of the collection. The labeled disks pictured alongside those stacks are also included.
This listing is for the floppy disks shown in the photographs. No computer, floppy drive, manuals, or retail software boxes are included. Please review all photos for the assortment, labels, and cosmetic condition. Everything is being sold together as one large lot, as is, with unknown functionality and unverified contents.
