Since I've monkeyed around the inside of laptops, I decided to do the repair myself. I disconnected the battery. I couldn't install my screen, so I found someone who replaced the screen with the one I provided for only $40. Time goes by...I notice that my laptop turns off as soon as the cord is removed. I use the Lenovo diagnostic and found I had to replace the battery. Today I am preparing the laptop for the new battery, and find that the battery had not been reconnected. Idiot. Hence the sale of this new--never removed from the foam--battery.
