For Sale is one 6 inch Silicon wafer that was manufactured by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in the early 1990\'s. Up to 5 wafers available !VERY RARE. This wafer has gone through the \"SORT\" and \"BACKLAP\" process. When the wafer is \"sorted\', a machine tests every individual device on the wafer and places a ink mark on the defective devices. The un-inked devices are then assembled and go thru a final test before sale. Backlapping is a process to grind the thickness of the wafer down to a thinner size, so it can easily be cut into pieces and assembled in packages. Very Rare to find a wafer from Advanced Micro Devices !! Own a piece of Silicon Valley history !
