This is an A8PicoCart, a flash cartridge for Atari 8-bit systems, primarily the XL and XE line. (it may work on older 400 or 800 systems, but can run into timing issues that prevent it from booting)
Games (not included) can be loaded onto the 16 megabytes of storage on the cart via the USB-C port found within the slot of the cartridge (full instructions included, or may be found on the project website)This is an open source project by Robin Edwards, and can be found on their github page.
(please consider donating to the author to support projects like these)Unlike other listings for this project I've seen, this PCB has been manufactured using hard gold electroplating for the fingers for durability, just like official cartridges are typically manufactured. This should assure there is no corrosion that might gum up your cartridge slot (which might happen with a HASL finish), and a connection that can withstand repeated insertions into a cartridge slot (unlike ENIG).
The cartridge shell is printed using high-quality ASA filament for strength and heat resistance, and its design has been modified to round the edges and give access to a small button on the back that can be used for flashing firmware updates. (a tool may be needed, I didn't want it to be TOO easy to press as it's not needed normally)
The label is my own design and was printed on a high quality gloss label paper.
Each cartridge has been tested to verify basic operation.
TV and computer not included.
Bulk orders may be subject to cancellation, I'd like these to get directly to those who will be using them. Once they're gone, they're gone, I do not intend to create more.
