The AOpen AK33 Gold AMD Socket 462/A Motherboard is a rare and limited edition motherboard specifically designed for AMD processors. With three memory slots supporting DDR1 SDRAM, this ATX form factor board features input/output ports including PS/2, Serial, Parallel, and USB 1.0/1.1. Additionally, it has PCI and AGP expansion slots, on-board audio capabilities, and was manufactured in Taiwan. This motherboard, although with an expired manufacturer warranty, offers a unique and high-quality option for computer enthusiasts looking for a classic piece with gold accents.
This came to me as part of a package deal with an Asus board many years ago. I had actually forgotten about it until 2020 when I took it out of the box in which it was stored and tested it for the first time. The last 2 screenshots are from that test. The photos of the POST and BIOS are from just before this listing.
While the User Manual states that it supports 200/266 FSB and CPU-Z reports it as a KT133A, I tested it with a 1333 MHz Thunderbird (A133AMS3C) and couldn't get it to POST with the 133/33 CPU Host Clock setting. It did POST on 110/37 and 115/38. At the default setting the CPU is identified as a 1000/100. So, in conclusion don't expect it to work at 133 as I believe that the chipset is a KT133 (a stated in the manual) and not a 133A. AOpen does not even address this section of the BIOS in the manual.
