Did your Apple IIGS MAC SE or SE/30 Real Time Clock, RTC, stop working? If you can solder, then this kit will fix it! Tested on my own Rom 3 IIGS!
NOTE: This may fit other older Macs also so verify your RTC chip on the motherboard before purchasing!
Comes with an exact replacement 340042B RTC Chip, 8-Pin DIp socket, and 32.768hz Crystal Oscillator. See Pics!
Procedure: First use Diagnostics to determine the problem; Could be one or both the RTC Chip and Oscillator; Remove old RTC Chip and Oscillator as appropriate based on diagnostics; Install New Oscillator; Install New 8-Pin Socket or RTC Chip; Install RTC Chip if Socket installed. Personal preference is to use the socket for ease of replacement later, if needed, and lessens chance of damage from heat when installing.
