You are purchasing a refurbished original Apple II-series power supply for use with the Apple II, Apple II Plus, and Apple IIe.
These power supplies are now more than 40 years old, and the original capacitors are common failure points. Simply replacing a failed power supply with another unrestored vintage unit often leaves the same aging components in place.
This unit has been opened, inspected, refurbished, and fitted with new capacitors so that the original Apple power supply can continue to be used rather than being replaced with an unknown, unserviced vintage unit.

Why Replace the Original Capacitors?

Minor cosmetic wear, discoloration, scratches, labels, or other signs of age are normal for hardware of this vintage. Installation
Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with servicing an Apple II-series computer. The original power supply is removed from the computer, disconnected from the motherboard, and the replacement unit is installed in its place.
Always disconnect the computer from AC power before installing or removing a power supply. Vintage power supplies can contain hazardous voltages. Installation should only be performed by someone comfortable working inside vintage electronic equipment. Experience and Purpose
