Up for sale is a Sony Vaio handheld computer, model VGN-UX280P. We connected this unit to a Fujitsu 16V power adapter (power adapter is NOT included). When we pushed the power switch to the up/start position, the unit's power light came on along with an orange battery light. The battery light turned off when the power switch returned to its resting position, but would come on again whenever we pushed it to the up/start position. Although the power light was on, the unit showed no other signs of life - nothing displayed on the screen, no fan spinning, no noises, etc. We were able to hold the power switch in the up/start position for several seconds and the power light went out. We did not do any further troubleshooting and are not sure what issues this unit has that is causing this behavior. The battery also did not seem to charge.
From specs online, this unit has an Intel Core Solo U1400 CPU along with 1GB of soldered memory. The drive was removed before we obtained this unit, and we are not sure if any other internal components are removed or were damaged during the drive removal process.
Because the unit is not currently functional, we are listing this unit "For parts or not working" and it is being sold as-is with no returns accepted.
The unit does show some cosmetic wear from use such as scratches and scuff marks and dirt/dust.
Includes the Sony Vaio VGN-UX280P handheld computer only - no other items are included. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you will receive.
