This is a NIB, new in box, IEEE-1284 printer cable for parallel printers. i would say the Pro Seriesis a mid level quality cable, as the contacts aregold plated while the shield is not, but Belkin does provide a Lifetime Warranty. This IEEE1284 cable has superior bi-directional performance compared a non IEEE 1284 such as the Belkin F2A036-06 cable

Use this cable if you run your parallel port in ECP or EPP mode.
