RJ-4040 is a WiFi model that supports the Apple's AirPrint. It works on both iOS and Android devices. It is great for printing shipping labels on the run. Standard AirPrint: Requires both the printer and your iOS device to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network/router.
Direct / Field Printing: Native direct printing without a router is not supported out-of-the-box. Ad-hoc peer-to-peer connection is strictly intended for specialized enterprise apps that support direct IP entry (169.254.x.x). Future iOS compatibility is not guaranteed.
