Up for sale is a DX010 Datacenter Switch that was purchased for a data center buildout but never put into production. While the hardware is completely unused, the unit was carefully opened by a professional network engineer to perform significant hardware and software upgrades, making this a highly capable, ready-to-deploy custom unit.
Professional Upgrades & Modifications
This switch has been modified from its stock configuration to maximize performance and fit specific data center cooling requirements:
Hardware Upgrades: The internal memory (RAM) and internal hard drive have both been fully upgraded to higher capacities. (Please see the listing photos showing the console log output verifying these upgraded specs).
Custom OS Image: The unit has been flashed with a custom-built operating system image designed and implemented by a professional network engineer.
Reversed Airflow (Back-to-Front): The factory airflow has been reversed. The air intake is now at the Back (the side with the power supplies and fan modules) and exhausts out the Front (the side where the network cables and ports connect). Note for IT buyers: This is commonly referred to as Power to Port airflow.
