11 DISKS: TAX YEARS 1991 & 1992 (FEDERAL & CALIFORNIA) 📍 Tracing the History of TurboTax's Origins!

This massive lot of 11 MacInTax floppy disks is a deep dive into the origins of modern computerized tax preparation! Published by ChipSoft (the company that eventually became TurboTax), these disks span the 1991 and 1992 Tax Years, including both the core Federal (1040) and California State versions. This collection offers a unique look at how consumers managed complex tax forms on their early Macintosh computers.

💻 What Makes This Lot Unique: 💻

The uniqueness of this lot is its comprehensive scope across two filing years and multiple update releases (e.g., Release 1 and Release 2 of Version 9.01). Many disks still have visible serial numbers, adding to their provenance. The varying shell colors (light beige and slight grey-green tones) and the clear ChipSoft Red Logo make this a visually appealing and historically specific set for the dedicated collector.
