What the CEMi does:The CEMi is the controller card for the Cyan/Ciena Z-Series Z22 and Z33 shelves. It provides the timing subsystem, telco alarm interfaces, inventory management, fan control, active/standby arbitration, and an integrated DCN (Data Communications Network) port for shelf management. It also includes iLAN ports for Ethernet management connectivity and IP access to secondary shelves.
