The Timex Sinclair 1000 Personal Computer (TS/1000) was an affordable 8-bit personal home computer launched in July 1982 as a joint venture between Timex Corporation and Sinclair Research.
As the U.S. version of the British Sinclair ZX81, it made history as the first fully assembled home computer sold for under $100 (originally retailing at $99.95).

- Processor:Zilog Z80 (or Z80A) running at 3.25 MHz to 3.5 MHz.
- Memory (RAM):2 KB built-in RAM (double its predecessor, the ZX81, though early test units shipped with 1 KB), expandable up to 16 KB via rear edge connectors.
- Storage:Data loaded and saved via external cassette tape recorders.
- Display:Utilized a standard home television set via an RF modulator as a monochrome display (32-column text/graphics).
- Input:A flat, touch-sensitive membrane keyboard featuring multi-function keys optimized for entering Sinclair BASIC commands.
