Vintage Commodore 1541 Single Drive Floppy Disk Drive, Made in West Germany, with unusually low DA1 02273 serial number.

Tested and working. Drive powers up and has been tested for operation.

This is an especially interesting early example for the Commodore collector. The rear factory label shows:

Serial Number: DA1 02273
Manufactured: West Germany
Voltage: 117V / 60Hz

The low 02273 number combined with the early DA1 prefix makes this considerably more desirable than the far more common later-production 1541 drives with substantially higher serial numbers.

Cosmetically, it presents very well for its age. The case has normal light age/use marks as shown in the photos, but no major damage. Front badge, rainbow stripe, LEDs, drive door/lever and rear identification label are all present.
