This listing is for a Cross Match (now HID Global) L Scan 1000P livescan fingerprint and palm print scanner, removed from a working environment. The L Scan 1000P is a high-resolution optical biometric capture device designed for criminal booking, forensic identification, background checks, and other regulated biometric enrollment applications. It captures flat, rolled, and palm prints (upper, lower, and writer's palm) at either 1000 ppi or 500 ppi using the same optical prism.

The scanner uses Cross Match's Auto Capture technology along with patented FlexFlat and FlexRoll features to acquire high-quality images regardless of finger or palm positioning on the platen. This unit does not have an onboard display/screen — capture status and image preview are handled through host software running on a connected PC. Image quality meets FBI Image Quality Specification (Appendix F of the EFTS/EBTS) standards.
