Power over Ethernet

The DGS-1005P features four 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that support the IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE protocols. This allows you to connect Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices such as wireless access points (APs), IP cameras, and IP phones directly to the switch. The PoE ports can supply up to 30 W of power each, with a total power budget of 60 W. This eliminates the need for additional power supplies and simplifies installation.

Green Technology

The DGS-1005P incorporates green technology to reduce power consumption and save costs. It features IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE), which adjusts power consumption based on network utilization. The switch also utilizes link status detection to power down ports when no links are detected, saving power when connected devices are shut down or disconnected. Additionally, cable length detection adjusts the power output of the port based on the cable length, further reducing power requirements.
