This is a fast Win98SE gaming machine with 32 Bit ATI Radeon 9000 graphics, USB 2.0 ports, a CDRW - DVD ROM drive, and 512MB RAM, which is plenty for the OS. The GPU allows up to 1400 x 1050 resolution, or more on an external monitor. The 1.6 GB Pentium M makes this laptop fly compared to the original Win98 Pentium II and PIII based machines.
This has working sound and video drivers, etc. which can be tricky to find.Office 2000 (including Clippy), Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Reader 6.0, After Dark, Doom 2, Wolfenstein 3D, GTA 1, Sim City, and The Sims 1 (with CD) are included. DOS games may not have audio. Install DOSbox if you want audio. The battery is at 50% of new capacity — no guarantee. A charger is included. The WiFi card is not compatible with modern security, nor is Win98. If you need WiFi, I can recommend a USB or Cardbus solution that works with WPA2 encryption.
The top has some minor dings and scratches.
I have not tested anything external besides the DVD driveandUSB ports.
Pretend it's 1999.
I can install Windows XP SP3 if you prefer.
