What is Dragon NaturallySpeaking Recorder Edition?
Information:
Dragon NaturallySpeaking Recorder Edition is a special release of Dragon that is optimized to be used with a digital recorder. The Recorder Edition allows a user to recognize and transcribe an audio file that contains the user's recorded voice and then convert it into a text file. The Recorder Edition is meant to be used only with a recorder, as it does not have controls to access a microphone.
The current version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13Recorder Edition is released by the following - Previous versions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking were released by Olympus and Sony.
Microphone dictation is not available in Dragon NaturallySpeaking Recorder Edition. It is only possible for the user to dictate into a digital recorder and then have Dragon transcribe the audio file saved on the digital recorder.
The following features are not available in Dragon NaturallySpeaking Recorder Edition:
- Dictation from a microphone.
- Using any application specific commands or mouse commands.
- Creating custom commands or accessing the Command Browser.
- The Dictation Box.
- The Select and Say Indicator (also known as Full Text Control).
- Selecting different recognition modes.
- Quick Voice Formatting.
- Dragon Voice Shortcuts.
- Regional Accent Support.
- Section 508 certification.
- The ability to import/export user profiles.
- The ability to import/export custom words.
- The ability to add/import/export commands.
- The ability to have multiple vocabularies.
- The ability to train users.
- IT Administrator Guide.
- Data Distribution Tool.
- The ability to save a .DRA file with recorded speech data.
- The Help Tutorial.
