It’s 2 a.m., a server has frozen at the boot screen, and it’s 40 miles away. Remote desktop software can’t help, because the operating system isn’t running. The GL.iNet Comet Pro (GL-RM10) was built for exactly that moment.
Comet Pro is a compact KVM-over-IP device that connects to any computer or server through video and USB. From there, you see and control the machine exactly as if you were sitting in front of it, from power-on through the BIOS and into the OS. Reinstall an operating system, change boot settings, or bring a crashed system back online, all from your phone, tablet, or laptop.
Wireless when you want it, wired when you need it. Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 lets you place Comet Pro wherever the machine sits, with no network cable to run. Connect Ethernet too and the device keeps you online if one link drops.
Clear picture, natural control. 4K at 30 FPS passthrough means your local monitor keeps working normally, while hardware H.264 encoding delivers a responsive remote feed with about 30–60 ms of latency. Built-in two-way audio lets you hear the remote system and talk with whoever is on-site.
Easy from the first minute. The 2.22-inch touchscreen walks you through joining Wi-Fi and managing cloud access right on the device. After that, connect through any web browser with no software to install, or use the GLKVM app on Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android.
Your network, your rules. Tailscale is built in for encrypted, direct connections between your devices. If you’d rather not rely on any outside cloud, deploy your own control server on Linux or Ubuntu with a single click. GL.iNet collects no personal information in self-hosted mode.
Grows with your setup. Pair Comet Pro with the optional ATX Board or Fingerbot (sold separately) to add remote power on/off and hard reset.
Whether you run a home lab, support clients, or manage machines across several offices, Comet Pro gives you hands-on control without the drive.

Key Features
- Fix It From Anywhere, Even at the BIOS Level: Take full keyboard, video, and mouse control of a PC or server below the operating system. Change BIOS settings, reinstall an OS, or recover a crashed machine without traveling to it.
- Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6, No Network Cable Needed: Connect over 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, or plug into Ethernet. Run both for automatic failover, so one dropped connection doesn’t lock you out.
- Sharp 4K Video, Smooth Response: 4K at 30 FPS passthrough keeps your local monitor working normally while H.264 hardware encoding streams to you at roughly 30–60 ms latency.
- Talk and Listen Through the Remote Machine: Two-way audio over HD Out or USB lets you hear system sounds and speak to the person on the other end. Useful for help-desk calls and remote meetings.
- Set Up Right on the Device: A 2.22-inch touchscreen handles Wi-Fi setup and cloud on/off settings without a laptop or command line.
- Secure Remote Networking Built In: Tailscale comes preinstalled, using WireGuard encryption and direct device-to-device connections. A good fit for home labs, small offices, and multi-site setups.
- Connect Your Way: Use browser-based cloud control on Windows, macOS, or Linux with nothing to install, or the GLKVM app for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
- Host It Yourself for Full Privacy: Deploy your own control server on Linux or Ubuntu with one click; a basic 2-core, 2 GB RAM server is enough. In self-hosted mode, GL.iNet collects no personal information.
- Expand to Remote Power Control: Add the optional ATX Board or Fingerbot (sold separately) to power on, shut down, or hard reset machines remotely.
- Compact, Certified, and Backed for 2 Years: Measures 3.3 x 1.85 x 3.7 inches and draws only about 3 W. Certified CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH, and WEEE.
