As was common for IBM ThinkPad-branded products, the unit has a premium weight and quality feel to it that is unmatched among its contemporaries, and we've even gone through the trouble of exchanging out the old rubber trackpoint with a fresh, newly knurled nub.Internally, both the primary and CMOS batteries have been replaced as recently as June of this year (2026). The laptop has been upgraded with a 250GB hard drive running Windows 11 Pro and Windows XP Pro with all service packs. The CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 clocked at 2GHz, and it is running with two RAM sticks in a dual-channel configuration (one 4GB stick and one 2GB stick). It has a discrete NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M graphics processor with 128MB of VRAM, and is Wi-fi and Bluetooth enabled. The machine also has a fully-functioning optical drive compatible with all common formats of CD and DVD discs. All drivers have been installed correctly, with no issues or alerts regarding missing or non-functional devices. It has a fully functional Firefox browser pre-installed with UBlock Origin for blocking ads/tracking, and system utilities like HardwareInfo64, Speccy, and more.
